Nanoiron is iron formed by stacking iron atoms one by one at the nanoscale, with no difference in physical properties. The difference lies in chemical properties. For example, ordinary iron does not easily burn, but nanoiron can self ignite in air; Ordinary iron has weak corrosion resistance, while nano iron is resistant to corrosion, and so on.
Nano iron has the following effects:
1. Nano iron powder has high reactivity and can undergo chemical reactions with many substances. This makes it have potential applications in fields such as catalysis, reduction, and adsorption.
2. Magnetism: Iron itself has good magnetism, and the magnetic properties of nano iron powder are more significant. Therefore, nano iron powder is widely used in fields such as magnetic materials, data storage, sensors, and medical imaging.
3. Degradation ability: Nano iron powder can be used as an important tool in environmental governance and soil/groundwater remediation. It can act as a reducing agent to degrade organic pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chlorinated solvents, and heavy metals.
4. Conductivity: Nano iron powder has good conductivity, which makes it valuable for applications in electronic devices and conductive coatings.
5. Medical applications: Nano iron powder is also widely used in the biomedical field. It can be used for applications such as magnetic targeted drug delivery, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents, and hyperthermia.
The production of nano iron can be achieved using the thermal plasma method. This method uses plasma to melt, evaporate, and condense metal powder to produce nanoparticles. In a vacuum container, a certain pressure of inert gas is introduced, and a high-temperature heat source is used to generate plasma, which heats and melts the pure iron workpiece. At high temperatures, the iron quickly evaporates, and at the same time, the plasma reacts with the molten metal to promote the evaporation of molten iron. The iron vapor is pumped through a circulating pump to the powder collector for condensation and deposition, and then stabilized to obtain nano iron. During the preparation process, process parameters can control the size and productivity of the nanoparticles. The nanoparticles produced by this method have high purity and uniform particle size.

Equipment characteristics

5.In the smelting process, metal ions in the melt will be concentrated around the negative electrode due to electrolysis, so as to improve the yield and purity of products, which is more conducive to the enrichment of precious metals and other high-value metals.


6.The current direction and electromagnetic field direction of DC furnace remain unchanged. Driven by the magnetic field, the molten slurry circulates in one direction all the time, forming electromagnetic stirring, so that the material melts without dead corners, the product quality is high, and the yield is high.


7.When an accident occurs in the smelting process and a power failure occurs for a period of time, an insulating hard shell will be formed on the surface of the molten liquid. 

Facing this situation, the double electrode DC furnace can start arc smelting again by adding arc striking materials such as coke at the bottom of the electrode.
