Ferrochrome smelting DC Submerged Arc Furnace is a type of equipment used for smelting ferrochrome alloys. Chromium iron alloy is an important alloy material mainly used in the production of stainless steel and alloy steel. The working principle of a ferrochrome smelting DC submerged Arc Furnace is to heat the chromite ore at high temperature, causing it to undergo a smelting reaction, and extract chromium and iron from the ore.
Ferrochrome smelting DC submerged arc furnace usually use direct reduction method for smelting. In the ferrochrome smelting DC submerged arc furnace, chromite ore is added together with reducing agents (such as coke) and then heated to high temperature. At high temperatures, chromium and iron in ferrochrome ore react with reducing agents to form ferrochrome alloys. The heat generated by the reaction can be provided by burning the reducing agent.
The furnace body of a ferrochrome submerged arc furnace is usually composed of refractory materials to withstand high temperatures and chemical corrosion. The ferrochrome smelting DC submerged arc furnace is also equipped with a combustion chamber, cooling equipment, and exhaust gas treatment system. The temperature and atmosphere control inside the furnace are very important to ensure the smooth progress of the smelting reaction.

7.When an accident occurs in the smelting process and a power failure occurs for a period of time, an insulating hard shell will be formed on the surface of the molten liquid.
Facing this situation, the double electrode DC furnace can start arc smelting again by adding arc striking materials such as coke at the bottom of the electrode.
