This equipment can use laterite nickel ore to smelt nickel iron alloys. Adopting a short process technology, there is no need for preheating and refining. After fully stirring and mixing the raw ore, reducing agent, and slag making agent, it is directly fed into the furnace for smelting, and the nickel recovery rate can reach 95%.

Nickel iron smelting DC Submerged Arc Furnace is a device used for smelting nickel iron alloys. It utilizes the principle of arc heating to heat nickel iron ore and other auxiliary materials to high temperatures, causing them to melt and undergo chemical reactions, ultimately obtaining the required nickel iron alloy.
The working principle of an submerged Arc Furnace is to generate high temperature through arc discharge, heat ore and other raw materials above the melting point, and melt them. During the melting process, metal elements in the ore react with other raw materials to form the required alloy. Meanwhile, by controlling the discharge intensity and position of the arc, the temperature and smelting process inside the furnace can be adjusted.
Nickel iron smelting submerged arc furnace is usually composed of furnace shell, electrodes, submerged arc furnace transformer, power system, cooling system, and other parts. The furnace shell is the external structure of an submerged arc furnace, used to protect the molten pool inside the furnace and control temperature. The electrode is the part that generates high temperature through arc discharge, usually composed of carbon or copper electrodes. Submerged arc furnace transformers and power systems are used to provide electrical energy, converting it into the current and voltage required for arc discharge. The cooling system is used to cool the electrodes and furnace shell, preventing overheating.
The nickel iron smelting submerged arc furnace has the advantages of fast heating speed, controllable temperature, and high smelting efficiency. It is widely used in the nickel iron smelting industry and can produce high-quality nickel iron alloys for manufacturing products such as stainless steel and alloy steel.

Equipment characteristics

6.The current direction and electromagnetic field direction of DC furnace remain unchanged. Driven by the magnetic field, the molten slurry circulates in one direction all the time, forming electromagnetic stirring, so that the material melts without dead corners, the product quality is high, and the yield is high.


7.When an accident occurs in the smelting process and a power failure occurs for a period of time, an insulating hard shell will be formed on the surface of the molten liquid. 

Facing this situation, the double electrode DC furnace can start arc smelting again by adding arc striking materials such as coke at the bottom of the electrode.
